The Papworth Davies team were engaged by Yarra Ranges Council to act as lead consultant for the Warburton Recreation Reserve Feasibility Study.
The key objective was to review and assess the viability of a proposal to renovate a disused swimming pool complex and convert the site into a new park, playground and water play facility.
Our team undertook a series of consultation workshops with key stakeholder groups and prepared of a detailed masterplan for the precinct which formed the basis of a financial assessment and subsequent funding campaign by Council.
The new masterplan features a recreation reserve, a water play facility, new carparking, upgraded amenities and sports facilities.
As part of the package, our team prepared a 3D model of the site and a detailed flythrough of the proposed design to accompany the illustrative masterplan.
The close engagement with the Project Working Group and the thorough analysis of the site’s existing conditions resulted in a masterplan that was supported by Council and the community and successfully captures all of the requirements and elements of the park, as set-out and requested by Council and stakeholders.
