Papworth Davies prepared a Landscape Concept for Parade College focussed on revitalising an existing Quadrangle space. Our approach to the quadrangle design was based on an assessment of the intended use of the space, along with observations of the circulation and connections.
The brief also called for improved social activation to encourage students to socialise during lunch and recess breaks. The proposed design features a curved, terraced seating edge which extends the upper-level area out to improve circulation. The terraced seating forms a strong, colourful ribbon feature in the courtyard and encourages social gathering.
Papworth Davies also designed and documented the landscape associated with the new Callan Wing which featured a new forecourt constructed using permeable interlocking pavers, retaining walls and entry steps.
